Eurovision Song Contest 2027 selection processes

Overview

Preparations for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest are underway, with Luxembourg and Canada advancing through their respective national selection stages.

In Luxembourg, broadcaster RTL announced 12 artists moving to the next phase of the Luxembourg Song Contest. This new selection structure evaluates artists and songs through separate tracks, with a collaborative phase scheduled for November to match artists with suitable songs before a final selection on January 30, 2027.

Canada is preparing for its debut in the competition following its membership in the European Broadcasting Union. CBC/Radio-Canada has narrowed 325 applications down to five finalists: William Cloutier, Josiane, Rêve, Talk, and Tyler Shaw. The winner will be decided by a public vote open until November 5. In a departure from traditional formats, the winner will be selected first, and their specific song will be developed in collaboration with music teams in December.
