Swedish man living at Naples airport
Overview
A Swedish man named Daniel, who lived at Naples Capodichino Airport for several months without identification, money, or memory of his past, has been reunited with his family. Daniel reportedly claimed he had been attacked and robbed in Rome, an event that led to his loss of documents and memory, though these claims have not been independently verified.
During his time at the terminal, he relied on the kindness of staff and travelers for food and clothing. Following his decision to cooperate with local authorities, Daniel was transferred to a municipal reception center in Naples. Through the coordinated efforts of the Naples Municipality, social services, and the Swedish Embassy, contact was re-established with his parents, who had not heard from him since August.
Daniel is currently receiving assistance and is expected to return to Sweden through cooperation between local authorities and the Swedish embassy in Rome.
