Overview
8BitDo announced the FlipPad, a compact USB-C gamepad designed to convert smartphones into handheld consoles. Unveiled at CES in January 2026, the device features a hinge mechanism inspired by 1990s flip phones, allowing users to fold the controller to pause gameplay.
The controller is designed for compatibility with Android 13 or higher and iOS 26.2 or higher, connecting directly via USB-C rather than Bluetooth.
