Abo Mbacké financial fraud investigation dismissal

A judge from the Financial Judicial Pool has issued a total dismissal (non-lieu) in the fraud and money laundering case involving businessman Abo Mbacké, president of Stam Global Business. The investigation had previously focused on allegations that Mbacké falsely claimed to be a special advisor to the Saudi Crown Prince and an associate of Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko to defraud various complainants.

Following the dismissal, Mbacké has characterized the legal proceedings as a “setup” and announced a legal offensive against those he accuses of contributing to the case. He has defended his professional history and long-standing business relationships with Saudi Arabia, asserting they are legitimate.

Mbacké also addressed specific disputes, including a disagreement with journalist Cheikh Yérim Seck regarding a proposed media project in Saudi Arabia and Dubai valued at approximately $5 billion. Mbacké maintains he never signed contracts for such arrangements and has denied allegations regarding the ownership of his real estate assets, stating he holds the necessary land titles to prove ownership.
