On October 2, a 37-year-old construction technician was injured when a crane fell into an elevator shaft at a downtown building site. Despite suffering a head injury, suspected leg fractures, and lumbar pain, the worker was found conscious and was transported to Hospital Santa Isabel.
On October 27, a 65-year-old driver lost control of a vehicle on Marechal Deodoro Street, striking a bridge barrier before falling 10 meters into the Ribeirão da Velha. Local residents assisted the unconscious driver before emergency services arrived. Preliminary reports indicate the crash may have been caused by a sudden medical emergency.
