Adopt the Arts charity album release
Overview
Matt Sorum has announced the release of ‘Sound & Vision Live’, a limited-edition double vinyl charity album produced to benefit his nonprofit foundation, Adopt the Arts. The recordings were captured during the inaugural Palm Springs Sound & Vision Awards at the Plaza Theatre.
The album features performances by various artists, including Paul Rodgers, Geezer Butler, Corey Taylor, Lzzy Hale, Glenn Hughes, and Nuno Bettencourt. All proceeds from the initial 2,000 copies will fund music education programs in underserved elementary schools throughout Los Angeles and the Coachella Valley.
A release celebration is scheduled for September 13 at the Plaza Theatre, which will include screenings of a companion concert film. While most copies are expected to ship starting September 28, 250 special collector’s editions on colored vinyl will be available exclusively at the September event.
