AHM Best Student 2026 innovation competition

Astra Honda Motor (AHM) hosted the AHM Best Student 2026 competition, themed ‘Gen Z Berkarya, Indonesia Berdaya’, to encourage high school students to develop solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The competition involved 1,215 participants from across Indonesia, with 27 finalists advancing to the national level.

Evaluations were conducted by a jury including representatives from the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas), the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, and the PPM School of Management.

Yazid Alfata from SMA Fatih Bilingual School in Aceh won the Gold award for ‘LeraWash’, a biodegradable detergent made from lerak and waru leaves packaged in seaweed-based bioplastic pods. Other top honors included a Silver award for Fajrin Al Majid of SMAN Sumatera Selatan for an AI and IoT-based ‘Smart Pest Control’ system, and a Bronze award for Muhammad Hatan Fahlady of SMAN 3 Yogyakarta for ‘KALARESIK’, an innovation recycling tire and textile waste.
