In the labor sector, demand for database developers has surged by 322 percent, reflecting a transition toward a need for expertise in AI, system design, and architecture. In Germany, a structural shortage of approximately 137,000 IT specialists persists, with 80 percent of companies expecting an increased shortage of skilled workers. Simultaneously, technological advancements are enabling automated software development, with large language models demonstrating the ability to transform large datasets into functional applications without manual coding.

In the corporate sector, there is a rising demand for AI-driven cross-functional data analysis. A survey of large Japanese companies indicates that 92.8 percent of respondents are interested in using AI to analyze both structured numerical data and unstructured document data, such as meeting minutes. This interest stems from difficulties in translating data into actionable insights due to the manual effort required to find context within past documents. To address these gaps, new integrations such as Google Gemini within Google Drive are allowing users to perform cross-format searches across various file types to facilitate more efficient organizational knowledge utilization.
