Overview

Malindi Sub-County Hospital in Kenya has been equipped with the country’s first AI-powered digital X-ray and a new CT scan machine. Unveiled by Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro, the digital X-ray unit can process up to 250 images daily with real-time electronic transmission to doctors. The CT scanner is expected to perform 20 to 30 scans per day, which officials state will reduce the patient load at the Kilifi County Referral Hospital.
