Alta Group expansion in Macedonia

Overview

Serbian businessman Davor Matsura, through the Alta Group, has expanded its footprint in the Macedonian market through acquisitions in the insurance, banking, and real estate sectors.

Initially, the company formerly known as ZOIL Macedonia underwent a restructuring, rebranding as Alta Osiguruvanje AD Skopje. This involved relocating its headquarters from Bitola to Skopje and a change in ownership after Matsura acquired 100% of the voting shares in a transaction valued at approximately 1.7 million euros. Following this, the company increased its core capital to 4.3 million euros and appointed a new Board of Directors.

Building on these financial sector acquisitions, Matsura expanded into the real estate market by registering Alta Real Estate, a company dedicated to the rental and management of property. This follows further regional activity where Alta Banka Belgrade increased its stake in Stopanska Banka AD Bitola to over 95 percent, operating it as Alta Banka AD.
