Anchorage Digital institutional custody expansion
Overview
Anchorage Digital has expanded its institutional custody services to include a broader range of digital assets and networks.
Initially, the firm partnered with Frgmnt to allow institutional clients, including corporate treasuries and fintech companies, to access Frgmnt’s fUSD stablecoin and sfUSD staking product via Anchorage Digital’s custody infrastructure. This partnership enables users to mint, stake, and redeem assets on the Base layer-2 Ethereum network.
Subsequently, Anchorage Digital Bank expanded its offerings to include assets on the Etherlink layer-2 network. This expansion includes support for wrapped and liquid staking variants, various stablecoins, and the xU3O8 token, which provides tokenized exposure to physical uranium stored at Cameco facilities. The integration of the xU3O8 token via Etherlink is intended to reduce settlement times from weeks to minutes.
