Andalusia healthcare infrastructure and services development
Overview
The Andalusian health sector is undergoing various infrastructure and service expansions. The regional government plans to complete a specialized pediatric mental health hospitalization network across all provinces by 2027, with new units scheduled for Huelva and Córdoba to provide intensive care tailored to minors.
In addition to mental health expansions, the Andalusian Health Service (SAS) is addressing critical infrastructure needs at Hospital San Juan de la Cruz in Úbeda. A contract has been awarded to reform the hospital’s 50 year old electrical system, a project with an estimated budget of over 1.2 million euros. Concurrently, the SAS is recruiting for several permanent positions, including physicians and technical staff, across the Jerez, Costa Noroeste, and Sierra de Cádiz areas.
