Andorra Purito cycling tour

The tenth edition of the Purito cycling tour in Andorra attracted more than 2,200 riders, filling registrations and creating a waiting list of about 300. The event offered three routes—116 km, 75 km and 25 km—traversing iconic mountain passes such as the Rabassa, Coll de la Gallina and Alt de la Comella, and finished for the first time in Encamp’s town square. High‑profile participants included former professionals Samu Sánchez, Alejandro Valverde, José Antonio Hermida and Igor González de Galdeano. Campsites across the principality reached full capacity, boosting local tourism while highlighting logistical challenges for the small nation.

In parallel, Catalan singer‑songwriter Juli Barrero announced a promotional electric‑bike journey from Andorra la Vella to Barcelona in August 2027, timed to coincide with his upcoming album Gas. The tour will pass through several Spanish towns and be filmed for a documentary, linking the upcoming event to the growing profile of Andorra’s mountain‑bike scene.
