In San Salvador de Jujuy, municipal authorities conducted an animal welfare operation in Campo Verde, offering free rabies vaccinations, deworming, and sterilization services. During a two-hour period, officials reported performing 85 sterilizations, over 400 deworming treatments, and approximately 400 rabies vaccinations.

Gustavo Muro, Secretary of Human Development, reported that the municipal campaign has vaccinated more than 30,000 animals over the past two months. However, Muro highlighted a “critical shortage of rabies vaccines,” noting that the national government owes approximately 90,000 doses. He urged local representatives to address the supply issue to protect public and animal health.
