Arantepacua protest in Michoacán

Overview

On 3 August 2026, members of the Arantepacua indigenous community staged a brief protest in front of Casa Michoacán in Morelia, blocking the main road, setting a tire on fire, seizing an LPG cylinder and a Civil Guard patrol, and assaulting State Interior Secretary Ricardo Palominos Vargas.
