Arc System Works expansion in Tokyo

Overview

Arc System Works has announced the opening of a new development base, ARC SYSTEM WORKS TOKYO STUDIO ‘TAKUMI’, in Shinjuku, Tokyo, scheduled for November 2, 2026.

The studio will focus on developing a new fighting game intellectual property. This project is supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s ‘IP360’ initiative, a subsidy program designed to bolster the growth of Japanese content industries and increase overseas sales. The program aims to reach a target of 20 trillion yen by 2033, with participation from other major companies such as Sega, Konami, and Koei Tecmo.

In addition to game development, the company intends for the studio to serve as a ‘global collaboration hub’ to facilitate international engagement and expand the reach of Japanese gaming content. Arc System Works is currently recruiting initial creative members, including programmers, 3D animators, 3D modelers, and project managers, to serve as founding members of the studio.
