Argentina Children’s Day sports festivals

In early August 2026, several Argentine venues organized large‑scale Children’s Day sports celebrations. Club Tiro y Gimnasia in Argentina hosted a multi‑sport festival on August 8, offering cycling races, skate shows, climbing, basketball, handball, skill demonstrations and aerial silks for children aged 2‑14, with a “come with a friend” invitation and provision of helmets.

Later that week, the city of Quilmes inaugurated the new Polideportivo Ezpeleta Oeste and held a free municipal Children’s Day event at the Polideportivo “Reinaldo Gorno”. The celebration featured over 400 activities, games, live music, toy and bicycle giveaways, and hot chocolate, drawing thousands of families and reaching about 200,000 participants. Both events were presented as community‑focused initiatives to provide sports and cultural programs for youth amid economic challenges.
