Argentina-Chile education inclusion initiatives

In early July 2026, Salfa and CODESAL announced the expansion of student internship programs across Chile and Argentina, aiming to provide practical work experience for university students in the two countries.

By the end of the month, the focus widened to inclusive education. In Mendoza, Argentina, the National University of Cuyo graduated its first cohort of ten young adults with intellectual disabilities from a university‑level labor‑training program that combined classroom instruction, workshops and internships. Meanwhile, in Concepción, Chile, the Universidad Andrés Bello hosted its inaugural Seminar on Educational Inclusion, bringing together teachers, administrators and church‑affiliated schools to discuss removing learning barriers and fostering collaboration between higher education and K‑12 institutions. Together, these developments signal a growing regional emphasis on expanding access, participation and workplace readiness for students, including those with disabilities, throughout Argentina and Chile.
