Argentina digital public service rollout

In late July 2026 Argentina’s government began a coordinated expansion of online platforms for public services. On 23 July, the Ministry of Bienestar Ciudadano y Justicia in Tierra del Fuego launched a unified web portal that aggregates more than 23 educational institutions and roughly 450 programs, giving residents a searchable interface for courses and vocational training. In the same rollout, San Juan’s Ministry of Government introduced an automated civil‑registry portal with a virtual assistant, allowing citizens to schedule appointments and retrieve birth, marriage, death, and identity‑document information online; the system recorded over 18,600 sessions in its first weeks.

Two days later, on 25 July, the digital expansion extended to social‑security and health services. ANSES opened an online appointment system that lets users book in‑person visits at any office nationwide. PAMI launched a dedicated platform for scheduling medical appointments, accessing health records and prescriptions, and the Mi PAMI portal was integrated for seniors. Hospital services in Neuquén and San Isidro added evening hours and telephone‑based scheduling, respectively, and were linked to a new Health Information System to streamline clinical records.

The sequence shows a rapid scaling from education and civil‑registry portals to broader appointment‑booking tools across social security, pension, and healthcare institutions, reflecting Argentina’s push to digitise citizen services and reduce in‑person waiting times.
