Overview

Argentina’s Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) has begun influencing various sectors of the national economy. Minister of Economy Luis Caputo reported that investments under the framework are already involving over 1,200 national suppliers, with approximately 86% of these investments directed toward domestic companies.

Key industrial and infrastructure projects linked to RIGI include the USD 2,200 million Manuel Belgrano Pipeline, aimed at enhancing Vaca Muerta gas value, as well as gas processing expansions and urea plant developments.

In the mining sector, French company Eramet announced intentions to apply for RIGI to support a USD 350 million expansion of its Centenario-Ratones lithium project in Salta. This expansion seeks to increase annual lithium carbonate production capacity by 11,000 tons.
