Argentina-Peru school infrastructure and digital upgrades

Overview

In late July 2026, Argentine provincial authorities began rolling out digital equipment for schools, with San Juan distributing laptops to primary and secondary students and teachers, and Santa Fe adding computers to a technical school. A few days later, the focus shifted to expanding physical school facilities: Buenos Aires Province opened three new classrooms at a secondary school in Malvinas Argentinas, while municipal officials in Chiclayo, Peru, inaugurated a large new school building with classrooms, labs and sports spaces. Together the snapshots show a regional push to improve both digital resources and physical infrastructure for thousands of students.

In San Juan, Minister of Education Silvia Fuentes announced that the “Maestro de América, cultivando el futuro” program aims to distribute 30,000 computers across the province by 2025. Meanwhile, in Santa Fe, the municipality of Venado Tuerto and provincial authorities provided 30 computers to the EETP Nº 602 “General San Martín” technical school to strengthen digital training.

By late August, infrastructure and management initiatives expanded in Argentina. In Jujuy, Governor Carlos Sadir inaugurated remodeling and expansion works at the Juanita Stevens School and J.I.N. No. 15, funded by the Cauchari solar park through the Promace program. Additionally, in the Belgrano Department, the 2026 Crecen Program concluded at the Mariano Moreno School, a participatory management initiative that trains secondary students to design and manage infrastructure projects. This program included providing the school’s student center with new audiovisual equipment and natural science supplies.
