Art exhibitions in Ferrara and Genoa
Overview
The Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara has launched an art exhibition titled ‘Da Monet a Van Gogh a Kandinsky’, which runs until January 10, 2027. The exhibition features approximately 120 works, including paintings, drawings, and engravings, many sourced from the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. Curated by Sandra Kisters and Vasilij Gusella, the showcase explores eighty years of art history, tracing the evolution of nature's representation from the 19th to the 20th century through the transition from naturalism to abstraction.
In addition to the Ferrara exhibition, a major display is scheduled at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa. Titled ‘Renoir, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Cézanne. 200 anni di arte dalla Collezione Scharf’, the Genoa exhibition runs from October 15 to May 2. It marks the first time the German Scharf Collection has been exhibited in Italy, featuring over 140 works by artists ranging from Goya and Matisse to contemporary figures like Katharina Grosse.
