Attempted murder investigation in Turin area

Overview

A 24-year-old woman, identified as Camilla D’Alessandra, was arrested following an incident in the San Donato area near Turin, Italy, where she allegedly struck a five-year-old boy with her vehicle.

The child was walking with his father and others when the collision occurred. Reports indicate the boy suffered abdominal and chest traumas and was treated at Regina Margherita Children's Hospital. While his condition was initially described as reserved, medical staff later stated his injuries were not life-threatening, with a recovery period estimated at 30 to 40 days.

Investigators are examining whether the act was a deliberate attempt to harm the child following a dispute with the boy's father, the suspect's former partner. While authorities are investigating charges of attempted murder and aggravated personal injury, the suspect's legal counsel has contested the allegations, seeking to determine if the event was an intentional attack or an accident.
