In a recent development, Salzburg AG announced plans to install seven battery containers at its Nord combined heat and power plant. This 30 megawatt-hour system is designed to store solar energy during midday peaks for use during the evening and early morning, providing a reliable buffer to mitigate the unpredictability of wind and solar power.
