Automotive manufacturers unveil new truck models at IAA

During the IAA Transportation 2026 event, major truck manufacturers DAF and Scania announced significant updates to their vehicle lineups, focusing on both internal combustion and electric mobility.
DAF expanded its offerings with new diesel and electric models, including heavy-duty 10x4 rigid configurations for construction and XG/XG+ Electric models with ranges exceeding 550 kilometers. The company also introduced new battery configurations designed to increase payload capacity by up to 2.5 tonnes.
Scania unveiled its Dynamic series, featuring the SUPER A4x2NB 430R internal combustion system and the BEV A6x2NB 44 R fully electric tractor. Scania’s updates emphasized driver comfort through redesigned cabins and improved energy efficiency via aerodynamic enhancements, such as digital rearview mirrors and redesigned front faces, aiming to reduce fuel consumption by approximately 2 percent.
