AWS security service developments
Overview
Organizations are increasingly adopting and developing services to enhance security within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
In South Korea, the OTT service TVING is upgrading its cloud security infrastructure through the AWS Security Improvement Program (SIP). This overhaul focuses on identity management, infrastructure protection, and incident response, utilizing frameworks from NIST and the Center for Internet Security to implement tools such as AWS Network Firewall and Amazon GuardDuty.
In Japan, ITM Inc. has launched ‘AWS Security Countermeasure Support’ to assist organizations with the AWS ‘shared responsibility model’. This service provides security configuration assessments, vulnerability diagnostics via the ‘AWS Security Agent’ AI tool, and ransomware protection through automated backups. Recent technical discussions in Tokyo have further highlighted the integration of AI tools like Amazon GuardDuty Investigation to assist in cloud defense and incident investigation.
