Badminton Association of Malaysia strategic initiatives

Overview

The Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) is focusing on strategic development and upcoming tournament performance. For the Allianz Malaysia Super 100 tournament in Johor, scheduled for October 13–18, BAM has set a goal of winning at least two titles using its developmental and youth squads.

To improve high-performance standards, BAM is appointing an international expert as a full-time Sports Science and Medicine Director, with a proposed start date of January 1. This initiative aims to provide enhanced medical and scientific support to athletes.

In the context of Malaysia’s badminton history, which includes the era of Lee Chong Wei, the upcoming Allianz Malaysia Super 100 in Johor Bahru is expected to feature over 40 BAM players. Sponsor Allianz Malaysia has visited the PETRONAS Akademi Badminton Malaysia to show support for the athletes as they prepare for home competition.
