Bandai Namco Gundam video game announcements

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced two new titles within the Gundam franchise to celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary.

On October 15, the company introduced Gundam Blitz Order, an idle strategy RPG for iOS and Android devices. The mobile game features automatic combat and progression mechanics, with a closed network test scheduled for late November 2026.

On October 28, Bandai Namco announced Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3, a free-to-play combat game for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals, this installment will feature large-scale multiplayer battles, cross-play support, and high-fidelity visuals. The game allows players to pilot Mobile Suits or deploy as infantry to plant explosives, capture objectives, or request support fire.

During a livestream celebrating the 40th anniversary of Gundam games, further details were revealed for Battle Operation 3. The title will launch with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED content, with additional series planned for future updates. Technical features include enhanced 3D graphics, a redesigned user interface, and a “Battle Assist” feature to simplify complex combos. Additionally, all units will feature “SP Skills” to provide unique strategic advantages. A network test for existing Battle Operation 2 players is scheduled for late November 2026 in Japan.
