Overview

After former President Mohammad Shahabuddin resigned for health reasons, public protests called for his arrest. Bangladesh’s Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed responded that there is no legal basis to detain him and affirmed that Shahabuddin will continue to receive full security protection.
