Officials pledged continued waste-management inspections to ensure compliance.

Following the completion of construction, authorities transitioned to a maintenance and beautification phase in mid-August. Mayor Leccese began conducting daily inspections to ensure area decorum. To manage the space, Amiu operators are performing daily cleanings to remove construction dust, and new waste bins with integrated ashtrays have been installed. Additionally, a pilot program involving the planting of flowers and ornamental plants in tree pits is being tested in the street’s final block to enhance aesthetics and discourage littering.
