Basketball Champions League Americas tournament

Overview

The eighth edition of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCL Americas) is preparing for its upcoming season. Following the official draw scheduled for September 1 in Miami, the tournament structure has been confirmed.

The competition will feature 12 clubs divided into four groups of three. The groups consist of:

Group A: Guaiqueríes de Margarita (Venezuela), Astros de Jalisco (Mexico), and Real Estelí (Nicaragua); Group B: Peñarol (Uruguay), Ferro (Argentina), and Minas (Brazil); Group C: Gimnasia (Argentina), Pinheiros (Brazil), and Biguá (Uruguay); Group D: Sesi Franca (Brazil), Quimsa (Argentina), and Aguada (Uruguay).

The group phase will occur across three windows between December 2026 and February 2027. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals in March 2027, leading to a Final Four in April 2027. The tournament winner will earn a spot in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup 2027.
