Benevento 2026 cultural festival season

In July 2026 Benevento hosted the 14th Notte delle Streghe – Janare Benevento Festival, a three‑day event highlighting the region’s Janare legend through street‑food stalls, art exhibitions, ceramic workshops, concerts and guided tours. Organized by the Sannitamania association with municipal support, the festival aimed to preserve local folklore and boost tourism.

A week later, the city announced the full program for the 47th edition of the Benevento Città Spettacolo festival, scheduled for late August. The lineup features a mix of authors, singers, comedians and musicians, with youth concerts and performances across historic venues such as the Museo del Sannio and the Rocca dei Rettori. Municipal leaders linked the festival’s growth to broader civic projects, underscoring its role in promoting cultural heritage and supporting the local economy.
