New details regarding the upcoming album reveal that, unlike his previous works, Taupin has written and composed all tracks for this project himself. He characterized the album as his “most intimate” offering, noting that the songs reflect his experiences at age 76. The project was reportedly inspired by the writing of his autobiography, ‘Scattershot’, and the filming of a retrospective documentary.

Recorded in Nashville with producer Frank Liddell and the band The Tennessee Stone Cutters, the album will also feature guest appearances by Lee Ann Womack and Taupin’s daughter, Georgey Devon Taupin, who performs on the track ‘One Hundred Ways’.
