Bimbo Global Race international events

Overview

The Bimbo Global Race continues to hold events across various regions, integrating athletic competition with charitable initiatives.

In late September 2026, the 48th edition of the Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race in Barcelona saw a record 17,200 runners. This participation resulted in a donation of 344,000 slices of bread to the Barcelona Food Bank, with registration proceeds supporting Pallassos Sense Fronteres. Concurrently, the race was scheduled to take place in Venezuela’s Baruta municipality, involving a 5K walk and 10K run that required local road closures.

In October 2026, the 11th edition of the Enfoque Bimbo Global Race 5K RUN was held in Uruguay. The event attracted over 4,600 runners and nearly 200 children, including categories for wheelchair users and visually impaired athletes. Through the ‘Compartimos lo bueno’ initiative, Grupo Bimbo Uruguay donated 92,000 slices of bread to the Banco de Alimentos del Uruguay, while funds were also allocated to the Centro de Atención Integral a la Infancia y a la Familia (CAIF) Juan XXIII.
