BMW Motorrad secured its first FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) title following a victory at the 89th Bol d’Or 24-hour race held at Circuit Paul Ricard. The winning BMW n°37 team, composed of riders Markus Reiterberger, Steven Odendaal, and Michael van der Mark, finished the season with 158 points, narrowly defeating YART Yamaha, which concluded with 154 points.
The victory at Le Castellet served as redemption for the manufacturer after a mechanical failure prevented them from claiming the title at the same circuit the previous year. During the race, the team set a new event record of 742 laps and demonstrated dominance through superior fuel efficiency and pit stop performance. The podium was completed by Yoshimura SERT Motul (Suzuki n°12) in second place and F. C. C. TSR Honda France (Honda n°5) in third.
