Bosnia police equipment upgrades

In late July 2026 Bosnia and Herzegovina’s police forces received a series of international donations aimed at enhancing operational safety and specialized capabilities. On 25 July, the Goražde police administration procured 25 high‑quality bullet‑proof vests and, through the OSCE’s SALDI project, obtained tactical gear for its police‑dog unit, supporting tasks such as drug control, search‑and‑rescue and anti‑terrorism.

Two days later, Norway People’s Aid contributed equipment to the West Herzegovina Canton’s interior ministry to aid small‑arms control, while a Frontex delegation visited Sarajevo to discuss border‑security cooperation, illegal migration and cross‑border crime. Both events underscore a broader effort by Bosnia‑Herzegovina to strengthen law‑enforcement capacity through partnerships with international donors and European agencies.
