Brasília and regional airport concession auction

Overview

The Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) has scheduled an auction for December 17 to determine the new controller of Brasília International Airport. This concession, which is set to run until July 2037, involves a restructuring where Infraero will exit its partnership and receive R$ 628.76 million for its 49% stake.

The auction is part of the federal AmpliAR program, designed to modernize regional infrastructure, particularly in the Legal Amazon. Under this model, the operator of Brasília will also manage a block of ten regional airports located in the states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, and Bahia.

Total projected investments across all sites are estimated to exceed R$ 2 billion. This includes approximately R$ 1.2 billion for the Brasília terminal—covering projects such as a new international terminal, a parking building, and improved road access—and R$ 857.8 million for the regional terminals.
