Brazil Federal Police expands fraud and drug ops

On 28 July the police, together with the Comptroller‑General’s Office, opened Operation Delivery in Alagoas to investigate alleged kickbacks and bid‑rigging in municipal construction projects in Murici and Maceió. Six warrants yielded the seizure of assets and cash worth R$1.301 million and the suspension of implicated municipal employees.

These coordinated actions illustrate an intensified, multi‑faceted Federal Police effort in July 2026, simultaneously cracking down on drug networks and a wide spectrum of public‑fund misappropriations across several Brazilian states.
