Overview

The Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) has launched several initiatives aimed at increasing accessibility and inclusivity within the national education system.

One initiative involves the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE) accepting applications for the accreditation of entities to produce accessible materials, such as Braille-Ink works, for blind, low-vision, and deaf-blind students. This program aims to strengthen the National Policy on Bilingual Education for the Deaf (Pnebs) by encouraging knowledge production from academics, researchers, and deaf leaders.
