Brazil olive oil market trends
Overview
Brazil is experiencing a rise in olive oil consumption and has become a significant global destination for imports. During the 2024/25 harvest, the country imported 80,768 tons, accounting for approximately 9% of global imports and 3.1% of global consumption. Between October 2025 and March 2026, imports increased by 40.5% compared to the previous period.
To capitalize on this growing demand and emerging domestic production, the International Olive Council (IOC) has launched a promotional campaign in Brazil. While current per capita consumption remains relatively low at approximately 0.4 kg, analysts see significant potential for future growth.
