The joint “Falso Pix” operation by the Public Ministries of Bahia and Mato Grosso arrested two men in Cuiabá and Várzea Grande and froze assets exceeding R$ 10.8 million tied to virtual‑fraud schemes. A drone‑assisted raid in Parnamirim recovered additional narcotics and cash. In Piauí, twin jiu‑jitsu instructors were arrested on accusations of raping a 13‑year‑old girl.

More recently, on 28 July 2026, the campaign expanded. In São José do Cedro, a driver was arrested for estelionato after leaving a fuel station without paying R$ 250. Operation Saneamento in Nazaré, Bahia, dismantled a rural camp of a criminal faction, seizing drug‑trafficking equipment and incinerating the site. In Brasília, a colonel of the Brazilian Army was detained for assaulting his 15‑year‑old son and possessing an illegal firearm. In Morro do Coco, a 30‑year‑old man was seized with ammunition, a cloned vehicle and weapons, claiming affiliation with a criminal faction. These actions reinforce the sustained, multi‑state effort to dismantle organized‑crime networks that span kidnapping, online scams, drug trafficking, fraud, and violent offenses.
