Brazil regional fairs and job events

In late July, Brazil announced a series of major fairs aimed at boosting regional economies. The 49th Expointer agricultural fair was scheduled for 29 August–6 September in Esteio, Rio Grande do Sul, featuring livestock, products, cultural shows and technology demos to promote rural tourism. At the same time, the Construsul International Construction Fair was set for 4–7 August in Porto Alegre, expecting 35 000 visitors and R$ 900 million in transactions, with a focus on AI, 3D printing and sustainable construction.

A few days later, additional events were highlighted, extending the focus to the transport sector. On 4 August, the SEST SENAT organized a free job fair in Fortaleza to connect employers with job seekers across transport industries. On 1 August, the SETCERGS held a driver celebration in Porto Alegre, combining cultural festivities with community aid, underscoring the role of professional drivers in Brazil’s economy. Together, these announcements illustrate a coordinated push across multiple Brazilian states to use sector‑specific fairs and employment events to stimulate tourism, construction, and transport activities.
