Overview

In early July 2026, a health outreach initiative in Magé, Brazil, under the Projeto Águas da Guanabara program, provided medical assistance to more than 200 local fishermen. Later that month, the municipal "Povo das Águas" program in Corumbá expanded the effort, delivering 2,759 health, social and citizenship services to riverine communities across the Médio Pantanal.
