Brazil state judicial appointments

Also on July 30, Manaus Mayor Renato Junior attended the swearing‑in of lawyer Laura Maria Santiago Lucas, who became the second woman to sit on the Regional Electoral Court of Amazonas for the 2026‑2028 term. The following day, the Public Ministry of Amazonas inaugurated six substitute prosecutors, among them Fabi Diniz de Queiroz Pilate, the first trans woman to serve as a prosecutor in Brazil, underscoring a continued push for diversity and capacity‑building within state justice bodies.
