Regarding social assistance, a committee approved the ‘Auxílio Mãe Atípica’ (AMA) bill, which would provide a monthly benefit of R$ 600 to caregivers of children and adolescents with severe disabilities or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), plus R$ 150 for each additional dependent in the same condition. To qualify, caregivers must be in the ‘Cadastro Único’ and demonstrate that the care required prevents formal employment. This bill still requires approval from the Finance and Taxation Committee and the CCJ before moving to the Senate.
