Brazilian influencer money laundering investigations

Brazilian authorities have conducted investigations into several prominent influencers regarding allegations of money laundering, criminal association, and illegal raffles. In São Paulo, ‘Operação Vérnix’ led to the seizure of luxury vehicles linked to influencer Deolane Bezerra, who has been in preventive detention since May 21. The Public Ministry has requested the judicial sale of several of her vehicles to prevent asset deterioration.

In Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, police seized a luxury car fleet belonging to Eduardo Razuk and his brother, Rafael Razuk, valued between R$ 15 million and R$ 20 million. The brothers were arrested on suspicion of involvement in illegal raffles and money laundering.

Following their arrest, a judge revoked the preventive detention of Eduardo and Rafael Razuk, allowing them to respond to proceedings in freedom. However, the court imposed several precautionary measures, including the surrender of their passports, a prohibition on leaving Brazil, and mandatory monthly court appearances. Their financial assets and social media accounts remain blocked while the Public Ministry determines if formal charges will be filed.
