Brazilian Marine Corps SMACE system demonstration
Overview
During Operação Formosa 2026 in Formosa, Goiás, the Brazilian Marine Corps and the defense company SIATT demonstrated the Expeditionary Anti-Tank Missile System (SMACE). The system utilizes the MAX 1.2 AC, a high-precision guided anti-tank missile, integrated into a 4x4 high-mobility vehicle based on the GM Defense Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) platform.
The SMACE configuration incorporates EDGE Group drones for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and ground attacks, aiming to neutralize armored vehicles and light vessels in amphibious and coastal environments. SIATT, which produces the MAX missile in Caçapava, São Paulo, has already delivered two lots to the Brazilian Army.
In addition to the system demonstration, SIATT conducted live-fire tests of the MAX 1.2 AC and presented an operational simulator designed to provide controlled training for military personnel.
