Brazilian Ministry of Culture infrastructure delivery
Overview
Brazil’s Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, has initiated a series of visits to Rio Grande do Sul to deliver cultural infrastructure projects under the ‘Territórios da Cultura’ program.
The initiative includes the delivery of mobile cultural units known as MovCEU to the municipalities of Tramandaí, Rio Grande, and Bagé. These itinerant centers are designed to decentralize access to culture by providing services such as libraries, outdoor cinema, artistic workshops, digital inclusion, and audiovisual production tools, including podcasting capabilities.
Federal investments in cultural infrastructure within the state of Rio Grande do Sul total R$ 50 million across 35 municipalities. The federal government has set a broader goal to deliver 190 MovCEU units across the country by the end of the year.
