Brazilian municipalities continue to implement diverse initiatives focused on public health, safety, and community resilience.

In the health sector, efforts in Salvador have expanded to include dental care advocacy, free strabismus screenings, and nutritional awareness through a ‘food traffic light’ program. In Camaçari, a cataract surgery marathon was conducted for over 120 individuals. Feira de Santana has confirmed that patients facing difficulties with the ‘Mais Saúde’ app can schedule exams in person at health units.

The construction of the R$ 180 million Hospital Regional do Sisal in Bahia remains in progress, with an expected completion in 2027.

Regarding municipal security, São Mateus and Maringá have provided guards with new security and first aid equipment, and municipal guards in Aparecida successfully recovered stolen tools. In Aquidauana, a regional seminar was held to focus on protecting women’s rights.
