Brazilian road viaduct projects

Entities: Sérgio Codello · Tarcísio de Freitas · Natália Resende · Conrado Scheller · Department of Roads (DER)

Overview

In early July 2026, two Brazilian cities—Camboriú and Bento Gonçalves—began infrastructure works aimed at easing traffic, signalling the start of a broader program of road upgrades.

Later that month, detailed updates revealed additional viaduct projects in São Paulo state and Paraná. In Bebedouro, a viaduct on Rodovia Armando de Salles Oliveira (SP‑322) is slated for completion in April 2027, with half its budget already spent. The work includes a pedestrian footbridge, drainage and safety improvements, and was inspected by state officials.

Meanwhile, in Cambé, Paraná, the Viaduto da Esperança is set to start construction in October after a design phase that runs through September. The structure will feature dual overpasses, marginal roads, drainage, retaining walls and full signage, intended to improve the BR‑369 corridor. Both projects reflect the ongoing rollout of the São Paulo Pra Toda Obra program and regional efforts to enhance traffic flow and logistics.
